OK. I’m late on this one.
Well, uh. This guy was famous for….making a list of ugly outfits worn by famous people for the preceding year.
Ummm. That’s it I guess.
And what’s with this “Mister Blackwell” thing? Seems a little haughty doesn’t it?
Well, anyway, I’m sure he will be sadly mourned by….well, his family at least.
And the world will just have to carry on without…that guy who pointed out ugly outfits worn by famous people.
So here’s to you Mr. Blackwell. I guess.
OK, seriously, why did anyone pay attention to this guy?

It’s the beginning. The beginning of a long protracted battle. Now us conservatives have to really play defense.
Starting in January, we’re gonna fight this guy and, as Walt Whitman said, “resist much, obey little”.
and if I were W (a pretty socialist President in my opinion what with the nationalizing banks and all), I’d start pardoning everyone in sight, just like Clinton did in 2001.
Guess I’ll have to cling a little more tightly now to my guns and religion…and my wallet!

After this year’s Super Bowl, I know better than to get my hopes up. I’ve turned the TV off for the night.
Thank goodness for Boston Legal reruns…and scotch.

For my U.S. readers, just a reminder that our election is at hand, and we should all get out and vote. Granted, both candidates are terrible, but not voting is not a legitimate option. While this is still a free country, we owe it to the previous and future generations to make our voices heard NOW.
Just a reminder, for registered Republicans, voting will take place today, Tuesday November 4. Registered Democrats will vote the following day, Wednesday, November 5.

Well, yesterday’s decision to run was not a good one. If anything, I should have run a lot less. It’s strange how much one can lose in 3 weeks.
At any rate, my legs are sore, but they will heal. I’m used to it.

Yep. That’s right. After 3 weeks of sitting on my duff and eating junk food, I ran today. 13.1 miles. That’s a half marathon. I would love to keep this as my base and do this every weekend.
I have to say, I really struggled after mile 10. As I was huffing and puffing and my legs were getting tired, I couldn’t help but find it nearly inconceivable that I ran TWICE this distance 22 days ago.
But I can’t wait to start training for my triathlon in June. I can’t just stop running after the marathon and do nothing for months on end. I don’t have until early October next, year, I don’t have any time to spare.
I swear this is a coincidence, but today is also the New York City Marathon. I’m watching the 1 hour highlight show now on NBC. I’m a native New Yorker, so I feel a special connection to this race. I’d never qualify to run New York though. I’m not even sure I’d want to. Boston and New York marathons seem like such a hassle. I’m satisfied with Hartford.
Sorry, running, I just can’t quit you.

So is anyone looking forward to J.J. Abram’s remake of Star Trek? I have mixed feelings about it. One one hand, I don’t like to see iconic characters recast. On the other hand, Leonard Nimoy is in the film. Plus it’s Star Trek, and it’s been 6 years since we had a feature film, and ‘Nemesis’ wasn’t that great.
So how about you, my readers? Any of you like Star Trek? I can still remember going to see Star Trek 6 with Tom back in college. Good times.

Dear Diary:
It’s been more than two weeks since I have last run. You know what? I don’t miss it much at all!
Seriously though, I’ll be back before too long, if only to preserve my sanity.
