The Specter is Finally Exorcised
Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter (R.I.N.O.-PA) learned last Friday that gas prices are unusually high in America. It was also brought to the senator’s attention that the U.S. is involved in a war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sources have spoken to the BoormanBlog on the condition of anonymity that Senator Specter was also made aware last Friday of both the current housing crisis and rising food prices.
The senator has promised to be completely engaged in being “a part of the solution” to these key national issues, just as soon as he checks the value of his shares of Bear Sterns and checks in with Dennis Kucinich’s presidential campaign headquarters.
Seriously, though: Congratulations to Senator Arlen Specter for finally realizing the country has much more important things to worry about than whether the New England Patriots taped walkthroughs at previous practices or games. Honestly, I’ve seen sore losers before. Heck, I see one every morning in the mirror!
But all the congressional investigations in the world
aren’t going to change the fact that the New England Patriots beat your crappy Philadelphia Eagles. The fact that you are wasting the taxpayer’s time and money calling for congressional
investigations reaches a new low; not just for this congress, but for politicians in general. I understand that the league has anti-trust protection, but that does not give Congress the right to go poking its nose into what is clearly an internal non-issue. There was no competitive
advantage to Belichik taping ONE quarter of ONE game against the crappy JETS!!.
Man, there are haters everywhere! Even in Congress. Seriously, Arlen, we beat you. Fair and square. We have before, and we will again. Deal with it.
GO PATS!!! 19-0 this year!! ![]()
