Gas Gets More Expensive…
Yes, Connecticut will experience a planned increase in the gasoline tax starting July 1. Governor F. Jodi Rell is willing to forgo the tax if (get this), state legislators can find additional tax revenue elsewhere. WHAT?!? She’ll forget the increase of the gasoline tax if the government can find something else to tax more?!? Why not CUT SPENDING?!? For crying out loud. It’s true what they say. If you’re not outraged, your not paying attention!! ![]()

Yeah, but hold onto your hat….. Oil is currently being looked at be some economists as a bubble that will burst. It has gotten too far above the equilibrium price (meeting point of cost of production + profit and price consumer is willing to pay) and is due to be jerked by the leash. The onlyl thing missing is the ability of consumers to reduce consumption, but apparently it isn’t going to be needed. Keep posted as we learn more.

I’m with you on that! I sold all of my USO last week. Wish I held onto it a little longer!
But I hope that bubble bursts soon! I’m looking into a bus pass!
