For All You Conspiracy Nuts…

It’s late an I’m tired, but I don’t like to go too long without posting something. I’m also not claiming to have my facts straight. But hey! I’m a blogger! I’m the “new face of journalism”… or whatever. ;) Sooooooo….

Two things came out the week before the Super Bowl. Timing is rather suspicious. Some gold pro in Hawaii who aparantly worked for the New England Patriots claims to have a tape he made of the St. Louis Rams’ final walk through before Super Bowl XXXVI, thus creating the appearance that maybe Bellichick was taping other teams all along.

Now congress wants to talk to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell about destroying the tapes New England made of the Jets. Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania, whom I’ve never liked, is the one leading the charge. Our tax dollars at work. Did I mention that Specter is also on the Board of Directors of Comcast? Did I mention Comcast is feuding with the NFL network? Why do I get the feeling that there was more going on against the Patriots than Brady’s ankle sprain?

Stay tuned….

Hey man, aren’t we all the future face of journalism? So long as we are able to weigh in on whatever the subject, it’s all for the better. Sorry man about what I said about the Pats in one of your earlier posts. I tried to keep it level. My opinion on the whole thing is that while all these things are coincidental, if there’s something in fact rotten in the state of Massachusetts, it might as well get dealt with. I fail to see why taping walk throughs is any sort of problem. It’s as arbitrary as watching actual game tapes (IMHO a far better measure of a play’s worth). If Belichick didn’t do anything wrong, then let him be, but if he has, then we all have to pay the piper. I have to say, the guy really soured me with his just-about-post-game behavior and for that, I believe he should be penalized.
Believe it or not, I really don’t care for ANY sports teams if I don’t currently play the sport myself. I pretend to care about the seemingly doomed Skins, but in truth, I don’t care about them either. My attitude about these issues you mentioned is the same as my attitude about atheletes taking performance enhancing drugs. If it works for them, then god bless ‘em. It makes the game (whatever game it may be) way more interesting to watch and it isn’t ruining MY health, and for the salaries these cats pull, they OUGHT to play like they’re all Supermen. Should a guy with a .110 batting average make millions of dollars a year? No. But a guy who takes the initiative to enhance his performance on his or her field of choice is fine by me and could be deemed as worth his salary. What is taping people’s walk-throughs anyway? Nothing more than trying to tighten up your strategy which……. wait for it……. ENHANCES THE DAMN GAME.
I think that as this whole mess of issues surrounding Belichick permeates the sports world, just keep in mind that there are three sides to every story.

Very true my friend! I can only wonder if all this attention would be surrounding the Pats if they went 1-15 this year. Probably not.

As I always say, there’s always next year! As my buddies on the Pats newsgroup have called 2/3/08 the “Flukerbowl” exactly that. Next year is all ours baby. 19-0 Here we come! :)

    Hey, I can dream ;)

I don’t think so. You have to revise your looks. In general your blog is good, but sometimes your posts are creepy.

When you don’t have a clue on the topic, don’t even try to write anything! First find out what people are talking about, and then write what you think!!!
