To my amazement, Phil had an astonishing baseball career. I always thought he had an average career and made a name for himself in broadcasting. Shows how much I know about sports!
Like Merv, Phil Rizzuto had class. Never a bitter word for anyone. No scandals in sight. Something our own baseball players could take note of.
