My aching…everything
Today it was 4 miles on the treadmill. The New England weather still isn’t quite ready for outdoor running. Four miles in forty minutes. Today, however, I’m starting to pay the price. My ankles are killing me right now, as are my quads. Don’t know what to do about the ankle problems, but maybe if I stretch more before running my quads won’t hurt so much.
Tomorrow, thankfully is only 3 miles on the treadmill. I’m still going to finish that full marathon in October, come hell or high water. Possibly both ![]()

Treadmills can be wicked on ankles, etc… Try varying incline often, etc… as the ankle problems can be caused by the repetitive consistency of a treadmill stride. The issue may fade away once you’re outside and have more variability in your stride.
