Good heavens. It must be true about celebrities dying in threes. I just happened to be scanning Google news stories, and saw that comedian Richard Jeni is dead at 45 from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

I said in my previous post that we only have a limited time in this life. And death, while not the end, is very permanent.

We can only speculate on the reasons why Jeni did what he did. For whatever reason, it’s a terrible tragedy. He should have got help, talked to someone; reach out to his friends.

Now, his friends and family get to pick up the pieces, and try to get on with their lives.
Life is short enough. There’s no need to end it prematurely. As Tyr often says on the crap sci-fi series “Andromeda”, “Where there’s life, there’s hope.”

For what it’s worth, Richard Jeni was damn funny.
