Steve Irwin, R.I.P.
I seem to focus a lot about death on this blog. Hmmmmm
Anyway, when we were in Virginia Beach over Labor Day weekend, my brother came out to the beach from our hotel to tell us that CNN was reporting the death of “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin. Steve was a conservationist at heart, which I deeply respect.
His sense of adventure, his sense of humor and commitment to the earth and all its creatures will be sorely missed. The world is a sadder place without him.
It is with this in mind that I offer the following tribute to his memory.

I’ve got to get all of that old video into a digital format before it completely erodes.
The Boorman-Nipar-Polen trio singing “Go Down, Moses” is beyond priceless. Beyond.
