R.I.P. Cory Lidle

For this transplanted New Yorker, the images on the news channels are a little close to two other plane crashed into NYC buildings. At least Bloomberg is reassuring the city this is NOT another attack.
Doesn’t matter if you’re a Yankees fan or not. God’s love and comfort to families of Cory and the other passengers on board that plane, as well as those who may have been inside the affected apartments.

My own recording studio

So I’ve got this expensive sound card for my PC. Once I get this thing up and running under Linux (no small feat, mind you) I want to start recording songs and putting them up on ChrisBoorman.com. These probably won’t be Red Embers songs. More like demos of solo stuff, but probably mostly covers. These will be, rough solo acoustic songs. And yes, they’ll be free :) I knew you’d like that. This will be my change to “reinterpret” some great songs from the 80’s in a more rock style. My tastes are pretty eclectic, and my performing style even more so.

You’ve been warned…

LIVE!!! IN CONCERT!!!!

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Yep. Sorry I hadn’t told everyone before, but I will be appearing next Saturday at University of Hartford’s Homecoming 2006! (That’s October 14th for you homegamers)

I’ll be at the Alumni Musicians Spotlight, on the Harry Jack Gray Lawn sometime between noon-4:30. If it rains, we’ll be in the Mortenson Library.

I’ll only be playing for about 15 minutes to a half hour, but given the (lack of) opportunities for either me or the band to play, I’ll take it. Any songs from my solo album? Probably not :(

You will probably hear a Red Embers song or two though, definitely some covers, probably by someone named Bob ;)

See you there!! Don’t you dare miss it!!
